A Tulare man has been convicted of killing his grandfather. The Tulare County Superior Court jury found Joaquin Jaramillo guilty of second-degree murder for the strangling and slitting the throat of 64-year-old Frank Jaramillo last year.
The twist to the murder is that Frank Jaramillo was also his grandson´s father. It was that startling revelation that threw the younger Jaramillo into a rage. At her son´s trial, Joaquin Jaramillo´s mother testified that her father had molested and raped her since she was a teen-ager.
