Oldest Inmate Found Dead

Less than two weeks after being released from Butte County Jail, the state´s oldest inmate has died after jumping to his death over the Feather River in Oroville.
Ninety-two-year-old Coval Russell´s body was found yesterday under the bridge. Russell was released from jail and put on three years probation on June 26th.
A judge last month denied the appeal of Russell to stay behind bars, saying jail was not the appropriate place for a man of Russell´s age and health.
