Yosemite Park Superintendent To Be Transferred

The national park superintendent who helped push through a controversial plan to revamp Yosemite Valley is to be transferred. He has been the Yosemite park superintendent for three years and was directed to establish a plan to address problems with crowding, traffic and buildings in the Yosemite Valley. Critics say the plan announced in 2000 allows too much development in the valley or will be inconvenient for visitors. Eventually buses will be used to bring visitors into the Yosemite Valley.
