Streetcar Victim Dies

A woman has died after being dragged for 75 feet by a San Francisco street car.
Officials say the woman was on a platform near the Stonestown Galleria yesterday afternoon when she somehow was snagged by a passing streetcar. One leg was severed. She was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital where she died less than five hours after the incident.
The woman has not been identified and the accident is under investigation.
