California Holiday Travelers-Expect Delays

Sponsored by:

The first major travel holiday since the September eleventh terrorist attacks is under way and travelers are warned to expect delays.

Police, security guards and rifle-toting National Guard troops are searching cars at California airports and closely watching the long lines of passengers at terminals.

LA International Airport officials expect 690 thousand passengers to go through LAX over five days, a 26 percent drop from last year´s record. But they say that doesn´t mean there won´t be long waits.
