Davis Backs Truck Stopper Bar

Governor Gray Davis is hoping to equip big rigs with a device designed to stop hijacked trucks. It´s a metal bar that attaches to a truck´s bumper. When a patrol car bumps it, the bar activates the brakes, quickly stopping the truck. The device was designed by a scientist at Lawrence Livermore Lab.
