The Mother Lode Is Great
What are your favorite things to do, to see and to take part in here in Tuolumne County? When friends and relatives come to visit, what do you make sure they do and see? We all have favorites and now is a great time to share your personal favorites with others on what’s so great about being here.
For a number of years, the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau has had a booth at the California State Fair and we depend on volunteers who love to talk about our area helping us out to make it work. We still have some time slots where we need your help.
The State Fair runs from July 12 through July 29 and a number of weekday slots are still open. We try to pair 2 volunteers at a time together no one has to work in the booth alone and welcome couples, friends or relatives who want to work as a team. Monday through Thursday time slots are 11 AM to 2:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Friday time slots are 10 AM to 2 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM.
In return for spending 3 1/2 or 4 hours, depending on the day, in our booth, we’ll provide free admission to the fair and free parking. Before and/or after your shift you can stay and enjoy the arcade, shopping, exhibits and entertainment the state fair offers…and you’ll be helping showcase our area and why its such a great place to visit.
If you can spare some time to help out please contact Sandy Gordon at 209-533-4420 (tcvbmarketing@mlode.com) or Bruce Tepper at 209-533-4420 or tcvbmarketing@aol.com.
It’s the fun way to volunteer and to share what you love about being here with an eager and interested audience.
