Bryton Kuhl, 21, of Sonora, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 8, 2000 and was a lifelong resident of Tuolumne County.

His short life was filled with friends, family, laughter and hobbies ranging from bowling to football, youth marching band to snowboarding. Bryton is remembered as an innovator with an endless capacity for building and engineering, and with a particular fondness for engines of any kind, motorcycles and music.

Family and friends recall Bryton’s kind demeanor, his boundless imagination and his willingness to always lend a hand.

Despite his ability to bring joy to those around him, he quietly suffered in ways that led to his untimely passing.  Since Bryton’s death, many have written about how special he was and how fortunate they were to have known him.  We know now that he is without pain and resting in God’s arms.

As one friend wrote after his passing, Bryton was “kind and he loved without measure. His absence will forever leave a void upon the ones that truly knew him.”

Bryton was loved and will be remembered by many, including grandmother Gwen Chastain, brother Zackery Kuhl, aunts and uncles including Sandra Lattin (CJ, Delaynie, Dallas), Anthony Chastain (Fallon), Terry Long, Ethanna Hall, Noel Nichols, Andrew Martinez, grandfather Ethan Hall, great aunt Brenda Anderson (Matt), cousins Jessica Markus (Sean, Logan) and Nicole Steele (Jake) as well as many more cousins, extended family and friends.
