After the kingdom of Arendelle cast into eternal winter by the powerful Snow Queen Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), her sprightly sister Anna (Kristen Bell) teams up with a rough-hewn mountaineer named Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his trusty reindeer Sven to break the icy spell. Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee co-directed this Walt Disney Animation Studios production based on Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale The Snow Queen
“Disney has loaded on the TLC to make sure this becomes one of its big ones.” — The Hollywood Reporter -Todd McCarthy
“Visually, the movie is a bright, splashy, beautifully rendered tale. The 3-D offers the usual tradeoff – a dimmer, less vibrant picture in exchange for greater texture. For older viewers, nostalgia will play a part in Frozen’s appeal. It’s almost impossible not to like the film if you grew up consuming Disney animation. Children will enjoy the movie for all the reasons that kids normally like animated films.” — ReelViews -James Berardinelli
