After having canceled the 2020 festival, the Board announces “Bach is Back!”.
Youth Concert Auditions, September 26
The Youth Concert, October 10 at 3:00 at Summerville High School Auditorium
Salon Concert, October 17, at 3:00, at Hurst Ranch featuring classical guitarist, Larry Ferrara and guests
Locals Concert, October 24 at 3:00 Church of the 49ers in Columbia
Board member, John Carter, said, “we are particularly excited to have someone of Mr. Ferrara’s caliber play for our Salon Concert. He has taught and concertized throughout the United States, and in Spain, Australia, Toronto, and at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. His reviews include The New York Times (“His way with the guitar is subtle, intimate and inherently musical” and The San Francisco Chronicle, (“Ferrara has an exceptional style, pure and sweet, rhythmically precise yet supple … playing everything with elegant grace and a notably serious feeling for introspection”).
Board President and local singer Diane Wright said, “We are so happy to be able to bring the festival back this year. We have missed live music both as audience members and as performers. This year promises to be another fine festival with some wonderful music and musicians and it promises to be a celebration. As our board says “Bach is Back”!
