Transformers: Age of Extinction
Set several years after Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon, times are difficult for humans and robots. Optimus and his world-saving colleagues are shunned by those in power for being a threat. They are hunted down by Black Ops squadrons led by Attinger (Kelsey Grammer) and Captain Savoy (Titus Welliver), not to mention the Decepticon bounty hunter Lockdown (voiced by Mark Ryan).
The new hero, Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) is a broke Texan who purchases a broken down truck he intends to dismantle and sell off to pay the rent and future college fees of his daughter, Tessa (Nicola Peltz). The truck turns out to be Optimus prime.
“Despite boasting an entirely new human cast and many a new onscreen mechanical warrior, plus a half-hour grand finale set in very different Hong Kong locales, Transformers: Age of Extinction isn’t the breath of fresh air vitally needed by an aging franchise.” -Hollywood Reporter
“I’m not convinced that a two-hour-and-forty minute toy commercial elaborately disguising itself as a movie is something to celebrate.” -Glenn Kenny –Rodger Ebert
