Help the Tuolumne River Trust restore habitat at Boney Flat Meadow! This is a very special meadow in the Stanislaus National Forest off the Highway 108 corridor that experienced damage from the 2013 Rim Fire, among other ecological stressors. The event will include building in-stream structures to help restore the meadow water table and improve it’s ecological function, removal of invasive plant species, collection of willow cuttings and more! Be prepared for a day of rewarding work at a beautiful mountain meadow with plenty of water, sun protection and a lunch. TRT will provide snacks, tools, instruction and transportation to the meadow. Volunteers can join us for implementation of our restoration work on June 28 and July 2!
