Robert ‘Tommy’ Eugene Thomason, 82, of Jamestown, California, born November 11, 1941, in San Francisco, California, passed away June 26, 2024, at his residence in Jamestown, California.

Tommy’s parents bought Mountain River Lodge in 1947 when he was 5 years old. Tommy attended Jacksonville grammar school and graduated from Sonora High in 1960. He worked various construction jobs and in 1965 he joined the operating Engineers Local 3. He worked many construction jobs and spent the last 12 years of his career as an instructor for the Operating Engineers Apprenticeship training center in Rancho Murieta.

He married his wife Sandy July 4th 1971 and together built their life in Jamestown. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved attending all of his kids and grandkids sporting events.

After retirement he and Sandy traveled all over the United States, loved to go on cruises and traveled to Europe, Morocco & Thailand. He was a lifetime member of Sonora Elks, SIRS and the Mother Lode Rollers.
