Olympic Silver Medalist Sagen Maddalena

Mother Lode Views featured a conversation with Groveland sharpshooter Sagen Maddalena who took home a silver medal from the 2024 Paris Olympics. She spoke about growing up in Tuolumne County, how she became interested in shooting, her opportunity to compete at the collegiate level, later joining the US Army, and eventually reaching the pinnacle of the sport and taking part in two Olympic games. She was also recently the Grand Marshall of the 49er Festival in Groveland and spoke with area youth at schools and the Mother Lode Regional Juvenile Detention facility.
