Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA – A report of a collision involving a Soulsbyville woman and a vehicle in a Sonora park ended up with the alleged victim handcuffed.

Sonora Police Department officers were recently dispatched to a report of a possible vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in the parking lot of Woods Creek Rotary Park. When they arrived, they approached the alleged victim, 22-year-old Kennedy Rose Carroll, who was screaming and refusing to cooperate with the investigation.

When officers tried to restrain her in handcuffs, she began to resist, according to the police, adding, “They then attempted to apply a WRAP restraint, at which point she started trying to harm the officers. Carroll then began threatening law enforcement and first responders on the scene.”

Through the questioning of Carroll and witnesses at the scene, it was determined that there was no crash and she was not hit by any vehicle. Carroll was arrested for felony resisting arrest by using force.
