Salary Survey, Agricultural Commissioner Contract, On Calaveras Agenda
San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will meet this morning and discuss several items.
The meeting will start at 8 am and the board will immediately go into a closed session to do a performance evaluation of CEO Teresa Hitchcock.
Later, at around 9 am, there will be a proclamation voted on to formally recognize yesterday as Veterans Day. There will also be a proclamation recognizing November 18-22 as California Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Week.
The board will also vote to renew Jessica Fowler’s contract as the Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures for another four years. She first stepped into the role in 2020 and it is one of two positions in county government (the other being County Counsel) that calls for a four-year appointed term.
In addition, the supervisors will review a proposal to pay a company $12,000 to conduct a salary survey related to elected positions. Other items of note include a report on economic development activities and votes on cannabis-related ordinances, such as cultivation tax rates.
Today’s open-to-the-public meeting will be at the Government Center in San Andreas.
