Kennedy-Wertz, Maureen
Maureen Anne Kennedy-Wertz was born on November 17, 1941 and passed away on November 15, 2024, just 2 days shy of her 83rd birthday. Big Sister to Bicky, John and Colleen. Mother to Mike (Lisa), Helen, John, Elizabeth and Tim (Gina). Grandmother to Nick, Jill, John Michael, Ben, Chelsea, Jessica and Bobby. With an additional 8 Great Grandchildren.
Maureen had a very special place in her heart for her “Irish” Cousins. A nurse for Dr. Stolp in Sonora for many years, at Tuolumne General Hospital and finally at the Tuolumne County Jail. She loved caring for others.
Maureen was literally a lifetime Member/“Sister” and former President of Young Ladies Institute YLI #101, Antioch, Holy Rosary Church. Her almost monthly “Class of ‘59” gatherings from St. Vincent’s Catholic High School in Vallejo were so important to her too. She will be missed by her family, friends, colleagues and her communities throughout Tuolumne, Solano and Contra Costa Counties. She loved you all.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, November 21, 6:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Twain Harte. Her funeral will be held on Friday the 22nd at 1:00, also at All Saints.
