Aronos Club Welcomes Public to Soup Luncheon and Jazz @ 8 Performance for the community to enjoy
The Aronos Research Club welcomes the community to attend the Annual Holiday Soup Luncheon and Jazz @ 8 performance at the Aronos Clubhouse on Tuesday, December 10 at 11:30 am.
“This is our annual Christmas gift to Sonora to come to our clubhouse, hear the Jazz @ 8 choir perform and enjoy a lunch,” Shelly Stewart, Aronos Research Club President, said.

“It’s a great event, and we are also pleased to have public come,” she said.
Kyla Hatler leads the Jazz @ 8 choir from Summerville High School’s Connections Academy. Jazz @ 8 is an award winning choir established in 1989 which has been honored at music festivals throughout California and the Western United States. Jazz @ 8 performed at the White House in 2011 and at the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting that same year.
The Aronos Clubhouse is located at 37 Elkin Street in downtown Sonora. Parking is available in the public city lots on Washington Street.
The Aronos Research Club is a service club established in 1915 and purchased the clubhouse in 1936. The club hosts events and a speakers series throughout the year, and hosts an annual Coffee With A Cop with Sonora Police Department. Funds are raised to maintain the club’s history clubhouse and for education projects including the Aronos Club Teacher Support program assisting elementary school teachers with vital supplies and scholarships for college students.
