Murphys favorite event of the year, the small-town, family- run Klassen Klassic Turkey Trot is slated for Thanksgiving morning at Murphys Community Park. Brian Klassen and his daughters, Sally and Riley, have organized and hosted the event since 2017.
The entrance fee is a non-perishable food item that is donated to the Murphys Senior Center. Proceeds from tee-shirt sales always go to a local family in need. This year’s proceeds are going to support Robin Chestnut in his battle with cancer. Robin has been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma, with an additional growth in his lungs.
Prizes awarded to top finishers in each category
Registration and tee-shirt sales start at 8am. The 2.5 and 5 mile walk/run starts at 9am. Non-competitors do not need to register.
