Murphys favorite event of the year, the small-town, family- run Klassen Klassic Turkey Trot is slated for Thanksgiving morning at Murphys Community Park. Brian Klassen and his daughters, Sally and Riley, have organized and hosted the event since 2017.

The entrance fee is a non-perishable food item that is donated to the Murphys Senior Center. Procedes from tee-shirt sales always go to a local family in need. This year’s proceeds are going to We are Cancer Strong, a charity started by Murphys residents. We are Cancer Strong plans on supporting three local families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Registration and tee-shirt sales start at 8am. The 2.5 and 5 mile walk/run starts at 9am. Non-competitors do not need to register.
