OCHOA, RAFAEL

Rafael Ochoa passed away Saturday, March 17th at his home in Sonora.  Rafael was born on October 24, 1938 in Michoacán, Mexico.  He was raised and received his education in Zacapu, Michoacán community.  Rafael was united in marriage to Maria Rosalba Ochoa on December 18, 1964.  Rafael and Maria moved to Watsonville, CA in 1975 where they resided in the communities of Salinas, Merced and Monterey prior to moving to Sonora where they have lived for the past four months.  Rafael worked for Driscoll’s strawberries in Salinas as a laborer for ten years.  Among his special interests, Rafael enjoyed reading, watching old Hollywood movies and traveling with his family.  Rafael is preceded in passing by his parents Timotro Ochoa and Antonia Fluentes.  Rafael is survived by his wife, Maria Rosalba Ochoa of Sonora, CA; his children, Mabel Mares of Merced, CA, Timotro Ochoa of Vancouver, WA, Maria Isabel Ochoa of Modesto, CA, Rafael Ochoa Jr. of San Jose, CA, Antonia Guzman of Modesto, CA, Jaime Ochoa of Sonora, CA.  His brothers; Jesus Ochoa and Isaias Ochoa both of Santa Maria, CA.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Heuton Memorial Chapel are handling the arrangements.
