Rich, Hot & Sour Dressing (Maryann’s)
- Serving Size: 4 – 6
- Preparation Time: 30 minutes
- Total Cooking time: none
Don’t let the (long) list of ingredients scare you…there’s a good chance you already have it all!
I’ve used this recipe for the past 20 years…On angel hair pasta (with or without chicken) it’s also delicious over finely shredded cabbage, carrots & cucumbers! The combination of all these ingredients is what makes this very special dressing Rich, Hot & Sour! Enjoy…
Amount | Measure | Ingredients |
---|---|---|
2 | Tbsp | crunchy peanut butter |
2 | Tbsp | soy sauce |
4 | Tbsp | vinegar (I use rice wine vinegar) |
1 | Tbsp | hot red pepper oil (less if you don’t like it too HOT!) |
1/2 | tsp | black pepper |
1 | tsp | sugar |
1 | Tbsp | sesame oil |
2 | Tbsp | vegetable oil |
1 | Tbsp | finely minced ginger |
1 | Tbsp | finely minced garlic |
1 | Tbsp | finely minced scallions (green onions are fine, too) |
1 | Tbsp | finely minced white wine |
1 | tsp | finely minced salt |
1-2 | cups | chicken broth |
To prepare:
Mix it all together…(if you have a magic bullet…one of those little blenders, use it). Otherwise, shake or whisk it all together and get creative with whatever you pour it over, I’m sure you’ll love it.
