What are some facts about email?

Question: What are some facts about email?

Answer: Email stands for electronic mail.

All emails are lowercase characters.

Email addresses, such as aubrey @ mlode.com, are made up of two parts. The part before the @ sign is called the username and the part after the @ is called the domain.

Username = aubrey

Domain = mlode.com

Here at Mother Lode Internet we have the domain mlode.com A domain is like a mailing address. If you were to send a letter to someone you would have to put their address so it gets to the correct location. A username is the name of the person you are sending the mail to.

The @ sign means simply “at”.

For example:

aubrey (Me)

@ (at)

mlode.com (Mother Lode Internet)

That is my email address when I am at work.
