As the final hike of 2018, Tuolumne County Trailhead offers a short (3 miles), easy walk at New Melones Lake’s Tuttletown Recreation Area. We will focus on wildlife, especially birds. Bureau of Reclamation rangers Hilary Maxworthy and Pat Sanders (resident raptor specialist) join the hike to help us spot and identify eagles and other birds-of-prey, waterfowl, and tweetie-birds. The Tuolumne County Trailhead program airs on KAAD-LP 103.5 FM (Sonora’s community radio station) on second and fourth Sundays at 12:30pm; hikes are monthly on first Saturdays.
