Yosemite Open Despite Partial Government Shutdown

Sponsored by:

Yosemite, CA – With a stalemate surrounding the border wall shaping up in Washington D.C., and a partial government shutdown now in effect, a local visitors bureau indicates that it has received word Yosemite National Park will likely remain open.

The Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau sent an email to their hospitality partners stating, “While we still have not received official word from the National Park Service, according to Yosemite Hospitality, the park concessionaire, Yosemite National Park will remain open during the government shutdown.”

The email also noted that some services, such as the Yosemite visitor centers, may be closed, but that “visitors will be able to experience the natural grandeur of Yosemite during this magical season.”
