County Approves Early Retirement Proposal

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors voted 5-0 to offer an early retirement package to 44 county workers.
If everyone takes the offer, it will save the county around $6 million over a five year period.
CAO Craig Pedro says, “Our H.R. staff will be contacting each of these folks individually and they will have until Friday to make a final decision on whether to participate in the program.”
The employees will be offered $1,000 for each year of service that they have with the county. None of the employees are obligated to accept.
