Rain Returns Monday

Unstable weather will once again return to the Motherlode, with a wet system affecting the area from early Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.

The rainfall will range from a tenth of an inch to as much as a half inch total.

A few isolated thunderstorms will also be possible on Monday afternoon.

Snow levels in the Sierra Nevada will range from 6000 through 8000 feet.

The total amount of snow will be three to six inches above 6000 feet and up to eight inches above 8000 feet. One inch of rain is expected in the Sierra below 6000 feet.

Mild weather is expected beginning Tuesday evening.
