Senior Project Recognizes Local Veterans

Sonora, Ca — A bench dedicated to the Veterans at the Skyline Place assisted living community was unveiled at a ceremony held this morning.
The bench was the senior project of Sonora High´s Kyle Gerhart, who said it was very rewarding to see so many people come out and appreciate the work he has done.
The Veterans who reside at the facility were recognized at the event, and many others came out to get a glimpse of the bench.
As part of the senior project, students are challenged to find a way to better the community. There is a plaque on the bench that reads “For the Seniors, By a Senior.”
