Dr Robert Emmons; Joie de Vie’s Keynote Speaker
Mark your calendars for the 19th annual Joie de Vie Gala – Havana Nights on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora, CA. This event celebrates cancer care in our community and will raise funds to support local cancer patients and their families as they navigate a cancer diagnosis.
The evening will include: silent and live auctions, live music from two-time SAMY Award nominees the DonGato Latin Band, keynote address from Dr. Robert Emmons (the world’s leading scientific expert on gratitude), a delicious Cuban-inspired meal prepared by Lunch Lady Catering, honoring Tuolumne County residents Ron and Anne Patel with the Irving Symons Award for Outstanding Community Service, and will feature local cancer patients sharing their stories of hope, perseverance and thanks. All proceeds from the event go toward the Cancer Patient Support Fund at Adventist Health Sonora.
