Hwy 12 Accident Injures Two Calaveras County Residents

San Andreas, CA — 29 year old Jon Ryan Young of Altaville and 20 year old Pamelia Fischer of San Andreas suffered moderate injuries Tuesday evening in a single vehicle accident on Hwy 12 east of Double Springs Rd. (Upper).
Young allowed his westbound vehicle to exit the roadway failing to negotiate a left hand curve. He overcorrected and crossed both lanes of traffic. Young then overcorrected to the right and ran off the roadway. The 2001 Toyota traveled down a steep embankment landing on its left side.
According to the CHP report alcohol was not a contributing factor. Both occupants were wearing their safety restraint belts.
