Yosemite, CA — Beginning in 2008, the price to enter Yosemite National Park will go from $20 to $25.
Spokesperson Scott Gediman says the federal government is mandating that all national parks remain consistent in price. He notes that Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park are already charging $25.
The change will put Yosemite in line with similar western parks. Gediman adds that the cost of a yearly pass will jump from $40 to $50.
