Sierra Repertory Theatre is an award-winning professional theatre located in the beautiful foothills of California’s Gold Country. Since 1980, Sierra Rep has presented the broadest possible view of theatrical literature in its year-round season. High quality performances and production values have established Sierra Rep as an exemplary company: a fully professional theater in a rural community.
Sierra Rep consistently has been among just a handful of rural, non profit theatres in the nation to receive top ratings and grant support from national, state and regional foundations. Since 1992, Sierra Rep has received numerous funding awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, affirming the company’s contribution to the national theatre community.
Sierra Rep productions earn ovations from press and audiences alike. More than half of the theatre’s patrons travel an hour or more to see Sierra Rep productions.Over 65,000 patrons visit Sierra Rep annually including nearly 2,500 subscribers.
Sierra Rep performs in two venues. East Sonora, a contemporary theatre with 202 seats, has superb sight lines and acoustics.No seat is more than ten rows from the stage.The Fallon House is a 120 year-old theatre in Columbia State Historic Park. It has 274 seats, including a balcony.
