Yosemite Announces Seasonal Road Closures

Yosemite, Ca — Yosemite National Park has announced that Tioga Pass and Glacier Point Rd. are now closed for the winter season.
These roads close every year around this time when heavy snow and/or ice cause impassable driving conditions.
While Glacier Point Rd. from Badger Pass to Glacier Point is closed until spring, the road from Chinquapin to Badger Pass Ski Area is open for administrative use only. This portion will re-open to the public once Badger Pass Ski Area opens for the season.
Yosemite officials note that chains may become mandatory on any park road at anytime. For 24-hour road and weather conditions in Yosemite, call 209-372-0200.
