Parents Of Teen Murdered Near Yosemite Get Lawsuit Reinstated
Yosemite National Park, CA — The wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of a teenager who was murdered at Cedar Lodge near Yosemite National Park six years ago has been reinstated.
The lawsuit regarding Silvina Pelosso´s murder was dismissed originally, but reinstated by the 5th District Court of Appeals last week.
The Pelossos are seeking damages from Cedar Lodge because they claim the hotel owners were negligent because they allowed a maintenance worker access to security keys, which he used to get into a room and commit murder.
Cary Stayner was convicted of murdering three tourists, Carole Sund, her daughter Juli Sund and their family friend Silvina Pelosso.
