Pot ID Program May Restrict Allowable Possession Amounts
San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County has a new medical marijuana identification program but could it mean less pot for patients?
The program is voluntary. It identifies legal users who have doctor´s recommendations.
For the new program, the county adopted the state´s possession limit of eight dried ounces.
It is not clear what this does to an old county general limit of two-pounds.
Health officials say the old one should be trumped.
It is also unclear which standard applies to users who don´t have a card.
The board asked County Counsel to return at a later date with clarifications on what regulations now apply and to whom.
