Groveland, CA — Good news is right around the corner for Groveland area residents.
An Oakdale Caltrans contractor is scheduled to start work this week on repairing a culvert that collapsed at the bottom of New Priest Grade thanks to the heavy late March and early April rains. The highway was closed April 4th and since that time delivery trucks have been detoured to Coulterville and then to Smith Station Road for long, arduous trip to Groveland.
According to Cal Trans, the repairs will take approximately 20 days and cost in the neighborhood of $1 million.
