Ashley Laird, MD, is an emergency physician at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Stanford University and completed her residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. She also worked clinical rotations with the Veterans Administration in the Los Angeles area. She moved to Sonora in 2010.
Dr. Laird grew up in the small town of Coos Bay, Oregon, and continues to enjoy the small town environment here in Sonora. She met her husband while in school at Stanford and they made many trips to Yosemite together to pursue rock climbing and backpacking. By moving to Sonora, they have realized their dream of living close to Yosemite. When she is away from work, Dr. Laird still enjoys rock climbing and backpacking as well as long-distance running.
