Daniel Anaiah Kirk (goes by Anaiah Kirk) campaigned on creating a fire-safe community and increasing economic growth for the next generation to live and raise families in Tuolumne County. Taking office in January 2019 he became Vice-Chair in 2021.
Kirk is a second-generation Tuolumne County resident who married his high-school sweetheart Aimee. They have two young children and live in the Soulsbyville / Curtis Creek area of District 3. On the weekends you can find Kirk with his family skiing Dodge Ridge or hiking in the Emigrant Wilderness. He graduated from Summerville High School in 2003, and Stanislaus State University in 2006 with a degree in Criminal Justice. After working as a youth probation officer for Merced County, he transferred to the Department of Corrections where he is currently a supervising Correctional Counselor.
District 3 includes: Tuolumne, Ponderosa Hills, Twain Harte, Mi Wuk and all other communities to the east of State Highway 108. Features in District 3 include Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, Pinecrest Lake, Cherry Lake, Kennedy Meadows, Lyons Lake, Beardsley Lake and the Emigrant Wilderness area.
