Chad Ballard is a physical therapist with Sonora Regional Medical Center, where he has worked for nearly nine years. Ballard grew up in Manteca, received his undergraduate degree from California State University Stanislaus, and completed graduate studies in physical therapy at Western University of Health Sciences. He also completed extensive post-graduate training in evidence-based therapy and pain neuroscience. Prior to coming to Sonora, Ballard worked in outpatient physical therapy clinics in Tracy, Manteca and Modesto.
During his undergraduate years, Ballard was interested in either becoming an athletic trainer or orthopedic surgeon. Once he was exposed to physical therapy, he knew it would be the perfect blend of the two professions. Ballard finds it incredibly rewarding to be able to help someone experiencing debilitating pain or other musculoskeletal issues get back to their pre-injury lifestyle.
Away from work Ballard enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, fishing, playing softball, going on family hikes and just about anything else outdoors.
