Tim Sullivan, MD, is a pediatrician with Foothill Pediatrics and Family Practice in Sonora. Dr. Sullivan practiced for five years at Cockerell & McIntosh Pediatrics in Blue Springs, Missouri, and five years with the United States Air Force before moving to Sonora in 2013.
Dr. Sullivan completed medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. In 2002, he completed a five-year residency in General Pediatrics at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Upon completing his residency, he served five years as General Pediatrician with the United States Air Force at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, providing all aspects of pediatric care for the families of airmen serving at the base.
Growing up in Manhattan Beach, California, Dr. Sullivan had a young sister with a serious illness. From that time, he always had an interest in pursuing a medical career, particularly pediatrics. In his current practice, Dr. Sullivan has a special interest in the fields of asthma and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. He also enjoys working with first-time parents. “I remember what it was like when I became a first-time parent,” says Dr. Sullivan. “I like to help people in that situation.”
When Dr. Sullivan isn’t busy providing patient care, he is always looking for outdoor activities with his kids. They especially enjoy visiting Yosemite.
