George Runner represents more than nine million Californians in the First District as an elected member of the California State Board of Equalization. The massive First District spans much of inland California, from Los Angeles County to the Oregon border, and encompasses 61% of California's land area. Within the First District there are five Taxpayer Service Centers, located in Bakersfield, Fresno, Rancho Cucamonga, Redding, Sacramento, and Santa Clarita.
