Gov Gavin Newsome's executive order to require all passenger cars sold in the state to be zero emission vehicles by 2035 is the apex of hubris and shortsightedness given that, A, not everyone to drive an electric vehicle to begin with and B, where are all these EVs going to be plugged in at urban apartment houses and C, how are they going to recharge when PG&E shuts off the power on red flag days because of previous state green mandates that have crippled the utility's ability to maintain their infrastructure.
It’s a sure thing that if the Democrats take back the Senate, the current filibuster rules requiring 60 votes to pass legislation, or what’s left of it after Harry Reid eliminated it for judicial nominees, will be gone. And that is a bad thing for either party and for voters how may still be interested in a balance of power no matter who is in control in Washington

While the NRA sometimes oversteps itself in the defense of all guns for all people, as does the AARP in its policy of fighting any effort to modify Social Security or Medicare, even to save both programs; New York’s Attorney General calling the NRA a “terrorist organization” and her effort to have it dissolved are so far out of line with reality and both the First and Second Amendment as to be laughable.
