Born a 10th generation Oregonian, (5 generations on each side) I have an enthusiasm for learning and teaching new things. After a ten year mini career in the dental field I moved on to research and embraced the social web. Though the internet is far too large for any one person to claim to be an expert, I can hold my own with the latest trends.

Dispite the CDC's call for schools to reopen under their guidelines a step towards better public health, the Federation of American teachers is calling for public strikes if they deem conditions warrant. We ask "what about the needs of the students and their parents?" For many school lunches and breakfasts may be the best nutrition they get all day and with two working parents unable to go to work and ill equiped to home school the socioeconomic divide will widen rapidly.
