District 1 Supervisor since 2012. I continue to work for my constituents on economic stability, living-wage jobs, and appropriate housing both in District One and county-wide. The welfare of seniors, children and vulnerable populations, along with public safety are critical issues I will always include in my priorities. Improving city/county coordination is important – I want to assure city businesses that they have county-level access and support. I look for ways to assist the City with resources available in the county.
During my two terms, our county faced multiple Emergency Declarations, including Rim Fire; Drought; Pervasive Tree Mortality and Flooding. As a rural county, it is vital we have a voice in Sacramento, so I continue to work with local, regional, state and federal partners, both public and private to get things accomplished.
