Honor To Americans Lost On 9/11
I, like so many Americans, will never forget where I was on that dreadful morning of September 11, 2011. As we pause to remember the people who lost their lives twelve years ago, let us also keep in mind the firefighters, police officers and emergency responders who put their lives on the line to protect and serve our country on that tragic day.
We must also thank our brave men and women in uniform, who courageously fight to defend our freedoms and constitutional rights every day at home and abroad.
On this twelfth anniversary of 9/11, let us remember the words of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who said, “We will rebuild. We’re going to come out of this stronger than before.”
On this day of remembrance, I ask that you take time out of your day to thank those around you who have fought hard for our country and our values. Our nation’s Armed Forces and emergency responders are true heroes and their bravery is unmatched.
We will never forget the Americans who were lost and we stand strong behind those that defend this great nation.
