Trade & Consumer Show Season Kicks Off in February
Trade shows (for tour operators, travel agents, meeting planners, etc.) and consumer shows (for the general public) are a vital part of the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau (TCVB) marketing program. These kinds of shows allow us to reach hundreds of potential industry suppliers who can sell our area and thousands of consumers who could include Yosemite and the Gold Country in their travel plans.
Two very important show are coming up in February: The Bay Area Travel and Adventure Show, Feb 7 and 8 in Santa Clara and the LA Travel and Adventure Show, Feb 21 and 22 in Long Beach. Karen Foreman will be representing the TCVB at both shows. Karen points out that, “These shows allow us to promote Tuolumne County to potential new visitors as well as returning visitors. Both shows also offer a special “media only” interval where we meet and talk with travel writers and encourage them to visit, write about and promote our area.”
Both shows attract top media travel personalities as well helping drive attendance. The Bay Area show anticipates 16,000 visitors and the LA show is the largest consumer travel show in the nation. To maximize our impact at both shows our booth will be part of the Gold Country row at the Bay Area show and part of the Yosemite Pavilion at the Los Angeles show.
Both have been highly successful for us in past years and we expect the same for 2015.
