American Red Cross stresses that blood and platelet donors are critically needed right now to combat a drastic shortfall in donations over the last several weeks. With busy seasonal activities and weather always present, it’s vital donors make and keep appointments now to fight any challenges that could pose a concern to the blood supply as summer rolls on.
Book a time to give now by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App.

Donations accepted are a pint of ‘whole blood’ usually taking about an hour or
‘Power Red’ donation (returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor) for those who meet specific eligibility requirements and have type A Neg, B Neg, or O blood.
