Goodness Cafe and Tuolumne County Arts are honored to host a closing reception for their first Goodness Gallery presentation featuring local cowboy photographer, poet and storyteller Kent Reeves. Kent’s photography, on display in November and December, 2025 at the café’s new location, documents the culture and lifestyle of the modern cowboy. The show is composed of elegant black and white 35mm prints from Kent’s personal archive.
Kent holds a graduate degree in natural resources with an emphasis in wildlife science. His professional career includes ecological consulting as a certified wildlife biologist and as a team member of the Rancher-to-Rancher Network. A seasoned packer and guide in the Sierra Nevada wilderness..
This festive and educational evening, hosted by Tuolumne County Arts and Sonora Writers Group, will also be the kick-off for our 2026 series of First Fridays in The Foothills Poetry and Prose Open Mic. Usually held at Revive Coffee in downtown Sonora, First Fridays is a popular monthly gathering providing a monthly opportunity for poets and writers of all ages an opportunity to share their words with our community at large.
