Join Tuolumne County Behavioral Health’s Community Cultural Collaborative in raising awareness for Mental Health Month by helping the CCC decorate downtown Sonora. Meet at Courthouse Park on Washington Street with the Community Cultural Collaborative.

The Community Cultural Collaborative (CCC) holds monthly meetings (next is June 9) to evaluate local cultural events and engage in various activities. These include showcasing special presentations, exploring training opportunities, collecting feedback from stakeholders, assessing the cultural competence plan of Tuolumne County Behavioral Health, and discussing local and agency-wide trends. Additionally, the CCC collaborates with the Quality Improvement (QI) team to analyze the integration of Medi-Cal eligible individuals into the mental health system, focusing on “penetration rates.” This involves comparing demographic data such as race, ethnicity, age, and primary language to ensure the mental health services provided align with the community’s demographic profile. These assessments help to verify that the needs of the beneficiaries are met effectively, either directly by the agency or through other local partners. The CCC welcomes a diverse group of attendees, including members from local tribes, community agencies, peers, and staff.
