Friends of the Animal Community (FOAC) is proud of the life-saving work we’ve been accomplishing in our community. In 2025, we successfully rescued and rehomed over 778 animals, placing them in safe, loving, and permanent homes. As a nearly all volunteer organization, we operate with dedication, compassion, and efficiency, relying solely on pet adoptions, private donations, fundraising events, and occasional grants to sustain our efforts.
We are currently seeking donations for our 2026 fundraiser and would be grateful for your support. Contributions of goods, gift certificates, services, or financial sponsorships will directly support our silent auction, raffle, and Fund a Need campaign. Our upcoming event, For the Love of Paws, will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora. With an expected attendance of over 300 guests, the evening will feature live music by Blue Oak, BBQ by Sierra Smoke, and a variety of fundraising opportunities—all coming together to raise critical funds and unite our community in support of animal rescue.
We would be honored to acknowledge your generosity at the event. All donors will be recognized in our printed event program and on our website.
Our fundraising goal is $60,000, with every dollar going directly toward veterinary care, shelter operations, food, and transportation for animals in need.
