Join Sierra Nevada Alliance and our host sites throughout the Sierra Nevada for the Great Sierra River Cleanup (GSRC) on Saturday, September 21, 2024. GSRC is a Sierra-wide watershed cleanup event coordinated by Sierra Nevada Alliance in collaboration with California’s Coastal Cleanup Day.
Volunteer your time to clean up the Mokelumne River and Camanche Reservoir Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. until Noon with a free BBQ immediately following at Camanche South Shore Marina. Don’t miss it; we will be handing out a variety of prizes. We will have a “Trash-to-Treasure Hunt” and a “Trashy Art” contest. For the Trash-to-Treasure Hunt we hide bottles disguised to look like trash with prizes inside that are redeemable at the BBQ. And the Trashy Art contest is for the creative person who can create art out of the trash they find at the Clean Up, your art will be judged at the BBQ.
Volunteers can choose from multiple locations that include Camanche Reservoir, Middle Bar, and the Mokelumne River Day Use Area. For assistance, email Ranger Dustin Wyckoff or call him at 209-772-8306. *Registration Deadline Wednesday, September 18.
